ETA

We’re just leaving Cobham services. According to the drivers satnav, we should be back at 17:45. Hopefully the traffic ahead won’t worsen too much and we’ll see you all soon.

It was all going so well

And then we hit the M25!!

We're looking to take a break at Cobham services - I'll give you an ETA at school once we leave there.

A message from Miss Gayson

What a fantastic trip we have had! Luckily we were blessed with lovely weather.
The children have had lots of fun abseiling, rock climbing, caving, archery and they also completed the vertical challenge. The children also went on a walk in the Welsh hills. On the walk, we saw sheep and Red Kite birds.
It has been wonderful to see the children take on all these new challenges. They have been brilliant at encouraging and supporting each other through the different activities. They have also become more independent as the trip has progressed. They were all able to clear up after dinner every night and tidy their rooms before we left.
I would like to say a huge thank you to Miss Childs and Mr Murphy for supporting the children throughout the trip.
A special thank you as well to Mr Beevers who works hard to create the blog with all the pictures for you to see.

We look forward to seeing you all later on!

M4

According to the forecast, it’s sunny in Sidcup. It most certainly isn’t out on the western end of the M4. So glad I’m not driving!!

Crossing back into England

We’re just on the new bridge,

With views of the old one which we used on the way out:

We’re going well so far - even with a break we should be back as predicted. However, the traffic ahead could change and we’ll keep you updated with progress (or just watch the tracker).

Boarding the coach

Lunch

We’re just eating lunch before we set off. See you all soon!!

Leaving arrangements

The children are now completing their final activities, finishing in about half an hour. At that time, we'll eat a light lunch (keeping some snacks for the journey), load up the coach and hope to be away by 12:30. The tracker is now on so you can follow our progress home.

Vertical challenge

Final activities time - for Miss Childs' group that is vertical challenge

Hill walk

Mr Murphy's group have prepared for and left on their hillwalk:

Good morning!

A very good morning to you all from us here in the valleys. Last night we all packed most of our belongings back into our cases ready for the trip home today. This morning we must clear our rooms, remove all that bedding so carefully put on two short days ago, prior to leaving.

Breakfast will be at 8, and activities start at 9.

The weather's a little cloudy at the moment but no chance of rain until after we leave, which is good news.
